In Koktebel they successfully used federal money for a brand new embankment that never appeared
The reconstruction of the Koktebel embankment, which was supposed to be completed this year, has been postponed for another two years.
The object planned under the federal target program needs to be recalculated, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The cost provided for under the reconstruction program is 4,7 billion rubles,” Karlen Petrosyan, Minister of Construction and Architecture of Crimea, told Crimea 24. - It will be increased. Today the maximum cost is being clarified. Approximately within one and a half to two months, these works will be completed, the exact cost will be formed, and the design and estimate documentation will be sent for examination. Commissioning of the facility is scheduled for August 2024.”
Initially, it was planned to make the Koktebel embankment a model by the summer of 2018. But the start of repair work was hampered by the construction of a sewer system, which the village does not have, and the new walking area would have been decorated with the old smells of sewage drained along river beds and storm drains into the sea.
The reconstruction project itself was approved in 2019. The project involves expanding the embankment and beach area, which will require demolishing cafes and shops, which were recognized as unauthorized buildings back in Ukraine. However, the owners are promised to compensate for losses and even provide other sites for doing business.
Construction was planned to begin in 2020. But for some reason, the government contract with the designer was terminated, and the work was moved to the summer of 2021. The contractor for the construction of the sewage treatment plant in Koktebel did not have time to install gravity sewer collectors to the embankment by this deadline, and the deadline for construction equipment to enter the promenade area was again postponed.
Let us remind you that the construction of a central sewerage system in Koktebel, for which the federal budget allocated 1,5 billion rubles, should be completed in May 2023.
