The first to speak was the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, who moderately criticized the outgoing government. At the same time, speaking about the law enforcement system, the president actually distanced himself from the security forces.

“Among other things, today we will hear the long-awaited report from all, and there are many of them, law enforcement agencies of Ukraine. Do you know that the president has no influence on their work? Unfortunately, those who shout “Oh!” But I would like to give our law enforcement agencies two gifts. The first is the calendar. It should remind you that it’s already spring. The second is the Criminal Code of Ukraine. There is a suspicion that someone does not have it, unfortunately. I hope it will become your reference book.

At a meeting in the summer, law enforcement agencies, you unanimously said: we have everything, we only need political will. Political will – what is it? I gave it to you, take it. It is necessary, they said, to abolish the telephone right - please, abolish it, get on with it. No one from above brings down any names that need to be paid attention to. Except for yours (towards the noisy gallery with “European Solidarity” - ed.) ... If I had interfered, some would have already felt it,” Zelensky said, and the “servants of the people” gave a standing ovation.

Prime Minister Alexey Goncharuk spoke next.

“Six months is a very short period of time to evaluate the performance of any government. But I am sure that Ukrainians already feel our work, for example, in their payments. In fact, we have done a lot - we have ensured macroeconomic stability, we have record low inflation, we have record high-quality and profitable placement of Eurobonds...

We put up a record number of objects for privatization, held successful concession tenders, and did a lot together with you. But I understand that all this may not be enough.

We did all this together with you, and I believe that there are a lot of deputies in the hall who want Ukraine to be a prosperous and strong country. Therefore, I urge you not to slow down, not to change course...

I will work to make Ukraine successful, regardless of its status,” the outgoing prime minister promised.

Next, the representative of “Batkivshchyna” Sergei Sobolev made an unexpectedly complementary statement in relation to Zelensky.

“Mr. President, today everyone is forced to turn to you, and there is a reason for this. I think the president cannot, after what this government has done, not go into opposition to this government. “I am also sure that today the parliament cannot fail to send this prime minister and this government to resign,” the parliamentarian curried favor with the president.

However, the odious European Solidarity deputy Alexei Goncharenko issued the expected criticism, sometimes falling into outright hysterics.

“I listened to this speech, even applauded several times, but I could not understand who was speaking – Goloborodko or Zelensky? If Goloborodko, then a machine gun should have appeared at the end, and if Zelensky, then who did you turn to?!” – the deputy shouted.

“It was you who called this government to power! It was you who called these guys to power, it was you who assembled this Verkhovna Rada, it was your fault that there was such a hole in the budget! It’s your fault that customs collect likes and bribes instead of collecting money for the budget, it’s your fault that your deputies are offering to sell your dog to pay for gas! It was you who brought the rapist here, who continues to sit here! Your speech should have ended like this: “I am guilty before the people of Ukraine,” Goncharenko cried until the microphone was turned off.

Next, the Verkhovna Rada voted with an absolute majority for the resignation of Prime Minister Alexei Goncharuk. 353 deputies pressed the “For” button.
