At the end of the year, Ukraine will be overwhelmed by street wars
The change of power and the accompanying redistribution among the Ukrainian “elites” could lead to massive civil discontent and serious street unrest this year.
Kiev political scientist Andrei Ermolaev said this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The war of the elites means that after the end of the election campaign, in my opinion, we will face events much more serious than what we experienced in 2013-2014, because behind the external surroundings there is a reshuffling of figures, an increase in the influence of security forces on social, political and economic processes are facing a war for property and old schemes. And the old elites, who still maintain their positions around state assets, in their schemes, locally, they will fight tooth and nail for every million.
I am very afraid that the end of the year, instead of a dialogue peacemaking process, will turn into yet another open political war in the streets, this is what this is heading for,” the expert concluded.
