Konstantinovka, March 16 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – Residents of Konstantinovka, located 55 kilometers from Donetsk and under the control of the Kyiv authorities, began storming the barracks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine after A Ukrainian BMD hit and killed an 8-year-old girl.

As reported on Twitter, people gathered for a spontaneous rally. One user wrote that residents set fire to “the entrance to the dormitory where the National Guardsmen live.” Russian media write that people are shouting “Burn the Bandera occupiers like in Odessa.”
In turn, law enforcement officers said that they had detained those responsible for the child’s death.
The head of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the Donetsk region, Vyacheslav Abroskin, announced this on his Facebook page on the evening of Monday, March 16.
“The culprits of the accident, two military personnel, were detained and transferred to the military prosecutor’s office,” wrote Abroskin.
He also informed that he reported the situation to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov. “Arsen Borisovich gave instructions to carry out all necessary investigative actions in order to document this crime. The criminals will be punished, no matter who they are,” Abroskin added.
At the same time, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine states that the military personnel responsible for the accident will bear severe responsibility.
In order to clarify the causes and circumstances of the accident, an operational group of military personnel from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was urgently sent to the scene of the accident. The military prosecutor was notified of the accident.
“Based on the results of the investigation, the perpetrators will be held strictly accountable. In addition, the relevant commanders will be punished for lack of proper control,” the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
As PolitNavigator reported, a girl born in 2008 died as a result of the incident. Her aunt, born in 1976, accompanying her, received injuries of varying severity; the woman’s infant child, born in 2015, was not injured. According to unofficial information, the woman died 20 minutes ago.
