They want to introduce the right of Russians to unite into the Constitution of the Russian Federation
It would be correct to enshrine in the Constitution of the Russian Federation the right of the Russian people torn apart to unite as a goal-setting point for increasing the pace of issuing Russian citizenship in the Donbass, Ukraine and Belarus.
Russian writer and publicist Nikolai Starikov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Due to the fact that we are currently undergoing constitutional reform, it seems to me that it would be very correct in the Constitution of the Russian Federation to fix the right of a people torn apart to unite. There is no need to write about the occupation, as it will be interpreted, but this is exactly how it is: the right of the people to unite.
This is very important so that the Russian Federation as a state has a certain point ahead, goal setting. And based on this goal setting - the unification of a people torn apart - it is necessary to increase the pace of issuing Russian citizenship in Donbass and further, we have talked about this many times, to begin issuing Russian citizenship to citizens of Ukraine.
Every citizen of Ukraine, every citizen of Belarus, from my point of view, has the right to receive Russian citizenship if he has not committed a crime,” Starikov said.
