A family of Serbian repatriates was brazenly robbed in Kosovo
In the village of Veliko Krushevo, unknown persons, most likely Albanians, entered the house where a family of Serbian repatriates lived and stole agricultural equipment.
This was reported by the KosovoOnline portal, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The incident occurred last night in the house of the family of Ranko Bičanina, who returned to Veliko Krushevo near Klin after many years of forced absence. The owner of the house himself discovered the consequences of the visit of uninvited guests only early this morning, when he got up to feed the cattle.
“In the room where he stored equipment and tools, the lock was broken, the door was broken, a feed combine, a fertilizer spreader and numerous tools were stolen,” commented the chairman of the Klin municipality, Bozhidar Sharkovich. – Serbs are once again becoming a target for attacks, which is a very bad signal not only in a material sense, but also when it comes to personal safety.
The idea that thieves are so brazen that they go into the backyard and take what they like creates additional fears among Serbian returnees, who rightly fear further attacks.”
Sharkovich said that as a result of the incident, a statement was made to the so-called “Kosovo police”, but, as was previously the case, “law enforcement officers” did not find anyone.
Today, only five Serbian families live in Veliko Krushevo, who fled from there in 1999 and returned in 2010. Before the war started by the Albanian separatists with the help of the United States and NATO, there were forty Serbian houses in this village.
