In Kosovo, a bus carrying Serbs heading to the Pec Patriarchate was attacked

A bus with Serbs was attacked on the morning of September 22 in the city of Pec in the Serbian Autonomous Region of Kosovo and Metohija (KoM), reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

On the bus were several dozen Serbs from the Society of Planjan Residents (a settlement near the city of Prizren, Kosmet), who were heading to the Pec Patriarchate of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

The leader of the group, Slavica Josifovic, told the Serbian news agency Tanjug that the bus was blocked by an Albanian driving a car with registration numbers of the so-called “Republic of Kosovo”.

“He got out of the car, took the Kosovo flag and hung it on the front of the bus, threatened that we should not remove it, and took a photo of the bus with Belgrade license plates,” Josifovic said.

She added that the incident was immediately reported to the police and that she requested an escort for the bus to the Pécs Patriarchate.

Как reported PolitNavigator, from the beginning of last year to the present day, more than two hundred attacks on the Serbian population have occurred in Kosovo and Metohija.
