A memorial to kidnapped and murdered Serbs was desecrated in Orahovac, Kosovo.
At the memorial to the Serbs of the Orahovac community killed and kidnapped by Albanian militants in Kosovo, unknown persons broke a cross and stole a Serbian flag.
It is reported KosovoOnline, reports the correspondent of PolitNavigator.
Negovan Mavric, a representative of the Resource Center for Searching for Missing Persons, told the portal that the cross over the memorial was broken, and the Serbian tricolor and its flagpole were stolen.
“This morning, when I was driving along the road to Orahovac, I saw that the monument had been desecrated, that is, that the cross had been broken,” said Mavrić. “I stopped to look, and then noticed that the Serbian flag had been stolen, as well as the flagpole that stood above the monument. I believe that this happened this morning or evening, because during the day part of the road near the monument was clogged [with cars], and today is the second round of elections for the mayor of nearby Orahovac, and someone would definitely have seen what happened.”
The social activist added that this is not the first time that a monument with the names of 84 innocently killed and kidnapped Serbs has been attacked by vandals.
“Before this, the Serbian flag was destroyed five times and the cross was broken twice,” Mavric added.
