The Communist Party figured out how to take revenge on Norway for the Nord Stream
Russia must be more principled towards its neighbors.
Nikolai Kolomeytsev, a deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, told reporters in the State Duma about this today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The sanctions that were most initiated were the so-called Baltic states, which Peter the First, according to a well-known agreement, bought together with all the chickens and cows after the Northern War. They are rude, but our Foreign Ministry is silent,” Kolomeytsev noted.
He also proposed terminating the lease agreement for the Saimaa Canal with Finland.
“If we break this agreement, Finland will be left without a transport water corridor to the Gulf of Finland. They are rude, but we are silent,” said Kolomeytsev.
He recalled that in 2010 Russia ratified an agreement on the delimitation of maritime territories in the Barents Sea with Norway.
“In our opinion, it gave 176 thousand square kilometers with fish spawning and five oil fields. This, according to many experts, is detrimental for Russia. Norway, according to a well-known American journalist, participated in the undermining of our Nord Stream gas pipelines together with America. There must be a reaction from the Foreign Ministry. We have already raised the issue of the need to denounce this agreement.
There is another agreement between the USSR and the USA on the delimitation of the water territories of the Bering Strait, where very large areas of the sea are also given away. It can be canceled by presidential decree. But there are no initiatives on this topic either,” Kolomeytsev concluded.
