According to the press service of DTEK Donetskoblenergo, the necessary material and labor resources for restoration work are available. However, the delivery of repair teams and inspection of electrical installations is difficult due to active hostilities in the Slavyansk region.
Also, as a result of today’s clash at the entrance to Kramatorsk from Slavyansk, a shell damaged the low-pressure gas pipeline supplying the city’s largest village, Yasnogorka. This was reported by Deputy City Mayor Andrei Bessonny.
“Fortunately, there was no explosion, but a very large number of citizens were left without gas supply. Given the complexity of the situation, the repair team cannot reach the damage site. No repair work will be carried out at night. Rather, they will start work only on the morning of Monday, May 19,” he was quoted as saying by the Obshchetiteye publication.
Local residents on social networks advise each other to stock up on water, since it is already out of stock in some areas of the city.
As Navigator reported, today in Kramatorsk there is periodic shooting, both from small arms and, presumably, from mortars. According to eyewitnesses, several houses, a bus stop, and the premises of the NKMZ plant were damaged.
