Lawyer Nikolai Polozov reported this on his microblog on Twitter.
“In addition to the Krasnodar prosecutor, Crimean prosecutors will also participate in the Dzhemilov case. A whole landing,” he wrote.
Hayser Dzhemilev was detained on May 27, 2013 in the courtyard of his father’s house in Bakhchisaray, after he shot and killed 44-year-old family friend Fevzi Edemov.
The police opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code (premeditated murder). The Kiev District Court of Simferopol chose a preventive measure for Khaiser Dzhemilev in the form of detention. After the reunification of Crimea with the Russian Federation, his case began to be investigated anew. Meanwhile, the Kyiv Court of Appeal assessed the actions of Hayser Dzhemilev as murder by negligence and decided to release him from custody. The European Court of Human Rights also ruled to release Dzhemilev Jr. In turn, Russian law enforcement officers transported Dzhemilev from the Crimean pre-trial detention center to Kuban.
