The Red Crescent blamed anti-government forces for the attack on the humanitarian convoy

Militants of terrorist organizations are behind the attack on a humanitarian aid convoy in Aleppo province, during which 18 trucks were attacked, and not Russian or Syrian aviation, as Western media claim.

Representative of the Syrian Red Crescent Society Wail al-Malas told Izvestia about this.

“There is no evidence that Russian or Syrian aircraft attacked humanitarian aid convoys. Everything points to the opposite: the trucks were set on fire and blown up by militants from terrorist groups. It is also noteworthy that the incident with the humanitarian convoy coincided with the militants’ offensive on the positions of the Syrian army in the Aleppo region. Thus, we are most likely talking about a provocation, which has already resulted in a fuss raised by the media, which blames Damascus and Moscow for everything,” said Wa’il al-Malas.

At the same time, as Kommersant reports, although at the UN, where the incident was discussed, “the prevailing tone of statements was clearly not in favor of Damascus and Moscow,” but only the representative of Saudi Arabia “in fact became the only diplomat who placed direct responsibility for the destruction of the convoy on the Syrian side."
