The Kremlin explained what Zelensky should do to meet with Putin
The Kremlin does not rule out a bilateral meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Ukrainian counterpart Vladimir Zelensky.
The press secretary of the Russian head of state, Dmitry Peskov, told reporters about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At the same time, Peskov emphasized that the meeting requires the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
“President Putin never rejects any meetings. Especially meetings that can be productive and can be beneficial. President Putin is a supporter of dialogue. It was President Putin who made a lot of efforts to find ways to resolve the situation in southeast Ukraine.
But any meeting, especially at the highest level, must be well prepared. In this case, the best preparation can and should be the implementation of previously reached agreements. Speaking about previously reached agreements, first of all we are talking about the provisions of the Minsk package of measures and secondly, we are talking about the agreements that were reached in Paris,” Peskov said.
Let us remember that earlier the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky announced his desire to meet with all members of the Normandy Four, which includes Germany, France, Russia and Ukraine.”
“In any case, the Normandy meeting is being prepared. She must be. I will say on my own behalf, and I told our Western partners, that there will be a meeting in the “Normandy Format” - I will find a format when I meet with each of these leaders of the “Normandy Four”. As they say, if the mountain does not come to Magomed, then it’s okay - that means I will meet with everyone separately,” Zelensky said.
