In Krivoy Rog, Lenin’s pedestal was made “a symbol of the coming peace and quiet”
Krivoy Rog, June 18 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – In Krivoy Rog, the pedestal remaining from the Lenin monument in the city center was painted by pro-Ukrainian activists in the style of Petrykivka painting with a wish for peace.

“A little bit of positivity. Today, a symbolic ennoblement of the pedestal took place with wishes for peace and tranquility throughout Ukraine. Soon there will be a peaceful sky over our territories. Victory is ours! Glory to the Heroes, Glory to Ukraine!” – reported on the page of the “Young Krivbass” group on social networks.
Pro-Ukrainian activists also wrote the phrase “Peace to all!” on the pedestal. in three languages – Ukrainian, Russian and English.
Let us remind you that since December last year, at least 50 monuments to Lenin have been damaged or attempted to be damaged in Ukraine. Some of them were planned to be melted down into bells or scrapped; the pedestals are often used as monuments to those killed on the Maidan.
