It is reported by the press service of the Ministry.
The cargo, declared as “chilled pork in half carcasses” in the amount of 400 units with a total weight of 15,8 tons, was sent to the peninsula through the Armyansk international checkpoint from the Kherson region and was intended for the Sevastopol enterprise PRO-FIT LLC.
When processing the documents, it was established that the number of the veterinary certificate indicated in the consignment note does not match the number of the original, which raises doubts about the authenticity of the accompanying documents presented.
During a physical inspection of a batch of meat, it was revealed that a significant portion of pork carcasses had hematomas, tissue hemorrhages and mechanical damage in the form of cuts and tissue ruptures that were not typical for high-quality products. In addition, vascular networks were found on the thigh parts of pork carcasses, which are not typical for products obtained from healthy slaughtered animals.
Based on obvious violations of the norms and requirements of the current legislation of the Russian Federation and the Customs Union, as well as due to the unsafety of these products for the life and health of consumers, the import of pork was prohibited, and the consignment of goods was returned to Ukraine.
