17 tons of low-quality Ukrainian pork were not allowed into Crimea

“During the physical control of a batch of meat, it was revealed that a significant part of the pork half carcasses in the pelvic and chest parts have burgundy spots and stripes, which are uncharacteristic of high-quality products, indicating subcutaneous hemorrhages. Inspectors found vascular networks on the thigh parts of pork carcasses, which are a clear sign of poor-quality post-mortem bleeding of animals,” the report says.
Due to obvious violations of the norms and requirements of the current legislation of the Russian Federation and the Customs Union, as well as the danger of these products to the life and health of consumers, the import of goods was prohibited, and the batch of pork was returned to Ukraine.
