It is reported by the press service of the Ministry.
According to her, the cargo, declared as “chilled pork in half carcasses” with a total weight of 18 tons, was en route to Crimea through the Dzhankoy international checkpoint. Products produced in the Lviv region were intended for the Sevastopol enterprise Eco Peak LLC.
When conducting documentary control, it was found that the certificate indicating the raw material zone for pork production and guarantees that the slaughter animals were born and raised in an area free from African swine fever was not certified by the signature of the state veterinarian.
The pork batch was declared unsafe for the epizootic situation on the peninsula.
Based on identified violations of the norms and requirements of the current legislation of the Russian Federation and the Customs Union, as well as in order to prevent the introduction and spread of a dangerous disease in Crimea, the import of a batch of pork was prohibited, and the cargo was returned to the territory of Ukraine.
