It is reported by the press service of the Ministry.
The cargo, declared as “natural honey” in the amount of 12 containers with a total weight of 300 kilograms, was sent to the peninsula through the Dzhankoy international checkpoint; the products of private apiaries from the village of Novokazonkovatoe, Chernihiv district, Zaporozhye region, were intended for sale at one of the markets in Simferopol.
During the document check, it was found that the veterinary accompanying documents did not contain information about the safety of the territory where the honey was produced from dangerous diseases (American foulbrood, European foulbrood and nosematosis).
Thus, the report notes, it was not possible to establish the safety of the honey batch for consumers and the epizootic situation in Crimea.
Based on gross violations of the norms and requirements of the current legislation of the Russian Federation and the Customs Union by the supplier and customer, the import of a potentially dangerous product was prohibited, and the batch of honey was returned to Ukraine.
