This was reported by the press service of the supervisory agency.
The cargo, declared as “chilled pork in half carcasses” in the amount of 146 units with a total weight of 5,2 tons, was sent to the peninsula through the Dzhankoy international checkpoint from the Nikolaev region and was intended for a Dzhankoy businessman.
When carrying out physical control of the batch, it was revealed that a significant part of the pork carcasses in the pelvic and thoracic parts have remains of internal organs, which are foci of infection, and areas of an inflammatory nature, uncharacteristic of high-quality products.
Based on obvious violations of the norms and requirements of the current legislation of the Russian Federation and the Customs Union, as well as due to the unsafety of these products for the life and health of consumers, the import of goods was prohibited, and the batch of pork was returned to Ukraine.
