It is reported by the press service of the Ministry.
The cargo, declared as “chilled beef in blocks” with a total weight of 15 tons, was sent to Crimea through the Armyansk international checkpoint from Kirovograd. The batch of meat was intended for a private entrepreneur from Sevastopol.
During documentary control, Russian inspectors found violations in the veterinary documents accompanying the cargo presented by the carrier.
Thus, in the certificate certifying the quality and safety of the product, in the column “date and time of manufacture” there was no indication of the date and year of production of the product. In addition, the number of this document was not indicated in the veterinary certificate, which excluded the possibility of identifying the controlled cargo.
Due to gross violations of the norms and requirements of the current legislation of the Russian Federation and the Customs Union by the supplier, the safety of beef for consumption was not established, its import was prohibited, and the goods were returned to Ukraine.
