The cargo, declared as “chilled pork in half carcasses” in the amount of 440 units with a total weight of 17,5 tons, was sent to the peninsula through the Dzhankoy international checkpoint from the Volyn region.
The products of the enterprise PMP Novovolynsk LLC were intended for a private entrepreneur from the village of Dubki, Simferopol region.
During a physical inspection of a batch of meat, it was revealed that a significant part of pork carcasses had hemorrhages in the tissues and large areas of inflammatory nature in the chest cavity, which were uncharacteristic of high-quality products. Such meat is not benign and cannot be eaten.
Based on obvious violations of the norms and requirements of the current legislation of the Russian Federation and the Customs Union, as well as due to the unsafety of these products for the life and health of consumers, by decision of the Administration, the import of the consignment was prohibited, and the pork was returned to Ukraine.
