Crimean security forces exposed the activities of a resident of the Saki region, who independently manufactured and sold explosives.
PolitNavigator was informed about this by the Russian FSB Directorate for Crimea and Sevastopol.
Investigators found that the 25-year-old criminal made explosives weighing 900 grams in his own home.
As a result of the search, law enforcement officers found manufacturing components and numerous destructive elements. Pending the completion of the investigation, the suspect was arrested for two months.
“The investigative department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol has opened a criminal case against the detainee on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 223.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Illegal manufacture of explosives, illegal manufacture, alteration or repair of explosive devices”),” – stated in the FSB.
Previously FSB announced the disclosure of the activities of a terrorist group, which planned to commit sabotage in Crimea at the direction of the leaders of the Majlis banned in Russia.
Prior to this, Andrei Zakhtey and Dmitry Shtyblikov, accused of preparing sabotage in Crimea, entered into a pre-trial cooperation agreement with the prosecutor’s office, admitted their guilt and gave testimony that confirmed the investigation's version about the preparation by Ukrainian intelligence of a series of explosions on the peninsula.
