The largest wine-making enterprise in Sevastopol, Zolotaya Balka, plans to build a cottage community on lands that are legally owned by the state and leased by the company.

Anton Parkhomenko, editor-in-chief of the First Sevastopol TV channel and member of the Legislative Assembly, stated this in his video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the journalist and politician, Zolotaya Balka is currently studying the demand for real estate in the ZB Village club village, but soon it may grow on the site of one of the vineyards.

“Without much fuss, a website appeared on the Internet dedicated to the company’s new project – this time non-alcoholic. The brand, known since Soviet times, experienced a rebirth after being purchased by a major Russian entrepreneur, Artyom Zuev, as a gift for his wife. First, an open-air festival appeared under the ZB logo, and at the same time new lines of sparkling wines of the same name were replicated. Now it’s the turn of ZB Village, that is, a kind of club village...

Zolotaya Balka leases 1400 hectares of vineyards; there are probably unused but very picturesque lands among them. Why not build them up?.. It’s clear: we live in the era of modern digital companies that, under one brand, can produce and successfully sell perfume, clothing and booze. However, synergy looks different in Russian: the agricultural company builds housing under the ZB brand. I’ll add: on lands that it leases from the state for a long time.

Another very important detail: in the absence of documents that regulate such activities. Yes, yes, I’m talking about the General Plan for the Development of the City again... Agricultural lands should remain as such - grapes can and should be grown there. By the way, for these purposes the same “Zolotaya Balka” regularly received government grant support and planted vines. And now she’s suddenly decided to increase the indicators for the commissioning of square meters. And the worst and most cynical thing is that such plans are born during a period of drought. What will the residents of the endless “lyceums” and cottage communities drink and where will they wash? Will they really quench their thirst with champagne, like in war?” – says Parkhomenko.

Note that the project website states that the ZB Village club village is planned to be built “surrounded by vineyards” near Balaklava. Buyers are offered apartments ranging from 150 to 200 square meters, a large swimming pool on site and transfer to Balaklava.
