In Crimea they guessed why Zelensky is switching to Russian

With the resignation of Petro Poroshenko as president, the new team began to actively create the myth that Vladimir Zelensky was managing to unite Ukraine and convince the South-East to vote for the course towards European integration and NATO, as well as come to an agreement with Bandera’s opponents.

Ukrainian political consultant Andrei Mishin and editor-in-chief of the News Front publication, Crimean journalist Konstantin Knyrik, spoke about this on the TV Center TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Why Andrei Portnov came to Kyiv as a strong lawyer and Kolomoisky as a financier, organizer and driver of political projects - this was all agreed upon with the US State Department. What does the US State Department need? Of course, Ukraine is more of a tool for putting pressure on Russia, and therefore we cannot expect any ceasefire, there will be no ceasefire, it will continue to escalate. It is the custom of Americans to raise rates before reaching an agreement,” Ukrainian political consultant Andrei Mishin said during the discussion.

Continuing the topic, Konstantin Knyrik noted that in the context of Zelensky’s inaugural speech, one can completely forget about peace.

“To close the topic of talking about peace, let’s remember Zelensky’s quote, for what and why he is going to establish this peace - for the sake of preserving the lives of his heroes. Not for the sake of preserving the lives of civilians, not for the sake of preventing children from dying, not even for the sake of preventing Ukrainian citizens from dying in Donbass.

Second point: I agree that theoretically, in such a crazy state as Ukraine, one of the military may not carry out the order of the commander-in-chief, because he is Poroshenko’s man, so be it. However, Zelensky yesterday, taking advantage of popular support, gave out a fairly large number of direct instructions to the Verkhovna Rada - the law on impeachment, immunity (every president came with this and spoke at every election campaign), but, nevertheless, for the sake of establishing peace with him there was an opportunity to give the task to vote for the repeal of the moronic language law, to vote for the amnesty law,” the journalist said.

“By the way, in terms of language, he got into a skirmish with Mr. Lyashko, he seemed to demonstrate his position that you continue to divide Ukrainians, but Ukrainians cannot be divided, he demonstrated his position, but no decision. It’s illogical, although it would seem that this should have been the next sentence, and one could say thank you to Lyashko for playing along with us so beautifully,” noted presenter Roman Babayan.

“He could propose to the Verkhovna Rada to consider the law on the status of Donbass, which is the cornerstone of the Minsk agreements and, in general, the possibility of establishing peace. As for the pathos of statements, the transition to the Russian language, but at the same time the lack of specific actions in protecting the interests of Russians living in Ukraine - so, in the Ukrainian language it will not be possible to ideologically deceive the Russian-speaking people of Ukraine once again,” Knyrik noted.

“What Zelensky and the expert community around him are doing now: they are creating a myth that Zelensky managed to unite Ukraine and convince the South-East to vote for the course towards European integration, for the course towards NATO and that some Ukrainians treat Bandera well. Moreover, even according to some of our experts, I see that this works, because they say: “Well, it’s okay that he goes with a UPA soldier, the main thing is that he did” - no, this is the main fear, this ideological fight! Therefore, the Russians of Ukraine will be deceived in Russian, and this manipulation will never lead to concrete actions,” added the Crimean journalist.
