The topic of the meeting with the Crimean public: “Crimea: a point of assembly and collection of Russian culture.”
Egor Kholmogorov believes that Crimea is the most important land for Russians, one of the foundations of our national identity, if we talk about us as a great nation. This is one of the pillars not only of Russian history, but also of Russian culture.”
But at the same time, the publicist is convinced, there is “still a lot of Ukraine” in Crimea.
“If during the period of the Ukrainian occupation it was striking how much Russian there was in the Crimean people, now very often you notice fragments of Ukraine ingrained in people,” he notes.
According to Kholmogorov, Crimeans should take a critical look at the cultural experience gained over the past 20 years and more often remember the role of the peninsula in the formation of Russian culture.
The event will take place on April 28 at 18.00 Moscow time in the conference hall of the Moscow Hotel (Simferopol, Kyiv str. 2).
