This was stated on the air of the talk show “Gravity” on the ITV channel by the chairman of the trade union organization of the Rosprofsoyuz of railway workers of the Simferopol railway distance, Nina Yuryeva.
“As for the railway workers, the staffing level is very low. If we take specifically the structural divisions of Simferopol and Kerch, then our staffing level is less than 60%. Although it should be at least 75%. So we are unlikely to have layoffs, this is very hard work, few people want to go there and straighten the path with crowbars,” she noted.
At the same time, there is no work for conductors on the Crimean Railway:
“Judge for yourself - we have three trains left of the Crimean formation, and the conductors have no work. If the guides have only one trip a month, then how do they pay people’s salaries? We need to look for or develop measures to keep people in their jobs, or retrain them, or send them to other jobs... People worked for 20-30 years, came by assignment, and today the situation has arisen that there are no formation trains,” Nina Yuryeva emphasized.
