Photographers attacked tourists in Crimea: Video of the fight
Businessmen extorting money from tourists for photographs with animals attacked vacationers right under the walls of the Genoese fortress in Sudak. Local blogger Alexander Kiryakov reported this on his page on the social network, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Kiryakov, the so-called photo-flayers lured vacationers to take pictures with eagles and demanded a lot of money. When the tourists refused to pay, they were beaten by the crowd.
“Photographers are beating tourists! It happened on July 22, 2019, near the walls of the Sudak fortress, as friends say - these guys with the eagles “seduced” the guys into taking photographs, and then began to extort money, demanded more, and for refusal they began to beat the crowd for two.
I trust the one who sent me this video - he is my reliable friend. The situation, of course... further only obscene! How many times has it been said: these are not just photographers with animals - these are real extortionists of money. This is robbery and robbery, but look for yourself,” writes Kiryakov.
The blogger also emphasizes that there were no police at the scene of the emergency (the fortress is one of the main tourist attractions of the city): “One thing is certain: the inability to resolve this issue not only disgraces the resort Crimean coast, but also confirms the powerlessness of “specially trained people on salaries from the state,” which are obliged to ensure peace and order for the tourist people and local residents.”
According to Kiryakov, such incidents occur regularly in Crimea. The author last year became a participant in a similar story: “Exactly a year ago, on July 27, in the city of Sudak, in this very place, on the way to the fortress, I found myself in the same situation with extortion, but - there was a group of friends from Donbass nearby, and they know how to stand up for themselves . These tourists were unlucky."
Kiryakov notes that photographers are not intimidated by either the police or even State Duma deputies: “A couple of years ago, and also on these very days, the official opening of the Genoese Helmet festival took place.” Journalists, festival management, representatives of ministries and even a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, and at this very time, fifty meters from the press conference, photo-makers with eagles.
