The Saki District Court sentenced a local resident to 7,8 years in prison for growing and attempting to sell cannabis.

It is noted that a 29-year-old resident of Sak grew narcotic plants in specially equipped greenhouses.
“In November 2019, he was detained by officers of the Russian FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol together with the Russian FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea. During operational search activities at the man’s place of residence, more than 6 kg were discovered and seized. narcotic drug cannabis. More than 60 kg. drug-containing plants were found in greenhouses set up by the suspect.
In relation to the detainee, the investigative department of the FSB initiated and investigated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30, paragraph “d”, part 4, art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs committed on a large scale) and Part 1 of Art. 231 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal cultivation of plants containing narcotic drugs),” the message says.
