In Crimea, the head of an American sect banned in Russia received 6 years in prison
The Dzhankoy City Court of the Republic of Crimea sentenced 48-year-old local resident Sergei Filatov, who was accused of organizing activities extremist sect "Jehovah's Witnesses" banned in the Russian Federation.

Knowingly aware of the decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, the defendant held meetings of members of the banned organization, studied and discussed literature recognized as extremist, involved new people in the activities of the organization, and was engaged in preaching activities.
His criminal activities was stopped by officers of the Russian FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol in November 2018...
On March 5, 2020, the Dzhankoy City Court found Sergei Filatov guilty of the incriminated crime and sentenced him to imprisonment for a period of 6 years with the main sentence to be served in a general regime correctional colony,” the FSB said in a statement.
