The situation with pneumonia has deteriorated critically in Crimea
In Crimea, the number of cases of community-acquired pneumonia has increased critically.
The head of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor, Natalya Penkovskaya, stated this at a meeting of the headquarters to combat the spread of coronavirus infection, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Penkovskaya, compared to the same period last year, the increase in cases of community-acquired pneumonia was 70%.
“The situation with community-acquired pneumonia has deteriorated critically over the past week. In addition to last year, over the last week we have had a 70% increase in the number of cases of pneumonia. The highest incidence rate is in those regions that differ in the increased incidence of new coronavirus infection: Simferopol, Yalta, Alushta and Armyansk,” Penkovskaya said.
According to the headquarters, today another case of infection with a new strain of coronavirus was registered in Crimea, the total number of infected people in the republic is 29 people, of which 12 have already been discharged.
