According to the publication, the church is threatened by construction work on a nearby site, which triggered a landslide.
In 2011-2014, the village council of Malorechensky allocated 18 plots for development around the lighthouse temple with a total area of 2 hectares. A quarter of a hectare, according to MK, was received by former village council deputy Alexey Vypritsky, who began preparatory work, removing tons of soil from the hill on which the temple stands.
The prosecutor's office is investigating the damage to the plot and may initiate a criminal case, since the cooperatives that own the plot carried out preparatory work without complying with technical conditions.
