Trade representative of the Republic of Tatarstan in Crimea Vladimir Slesarev stated this at the republican business forum “Strategy for ensuring food independence and security of Crimea”.
“The economy allows us to build and produce here cheaply due to the low cost. In Crimea you can produce everything from clothing to fish. Specifically, the creation of fish farms, in my opinion, is the most promising direction - there are large markets, for example the Moscow region. Plus – vineyards, elite wines. And the Dzhankoy lands make it possible to harvest three times more crops than, for example, in Tatarstan. Along with this, it is necessary to build vegetable storage facilities. At the same time, use not only the usual agricultural regions, but also the steppe Crimea. Yes, there is a logistics problem, but while there is no bridge, this can also be solved by increasing the number of cargo ferries that can operate even in storms and by air transportation,” says the representative of Tatarstan.
