This was reported by the Crimean Tatar news site “QHA”.
On-site cleaning was organized by district, rural and township imams of mosques and chairmen of religious communities.
In Simferopol, one of the venues for the cleanup was the Muslim cemetery Abdal, where about 150 people came to clean the territory - representatives of various city enterprises and youth organizations.
Participants in the cleanup cleaned up the grass from the graves, took out the garbage, and landscaped the area.
“Today, as in all corners of Crimea, a cleanliness campaign is being held. Purity is half of faith. A person should have cleanliness not only in his clothes, home, thoughts, and so on. But, of course, our deceased should all rest in a clean place,” the chief imam of the Simferopol region, Muhammad Islamov, commented on the cleanup day.
