Construction of two new “Comets” will begin in Crimea
In 2019, in Crimea, at the Feodosia plant “More”, two hydrofoil vessels “Kometa” will be laid down at once, similar to the one that entered the Yalta-Sevastopol route last summer.
The head of the Kalashnikov concern, Vladimir Dmitriev, said this in an interview with Kommersant, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
I believe that hydrofoils will again be one of the locomotives of our growth in shipbuilding, I believe that at the beginning of 2019 we will sign up for another couple of “Comets” in the Azov-Black Sea basin, and this time we will make them as close to the site as possible further operation, so as not to spend money on logistics.
And I also believe that we will go abroad, we have a number of potentially interested counterparties, and in January I will go to one of the countries for negotiations. Different countries are interested; we can talk about the Mediterranean Sea, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
Purely theoretically, we can make quite a lot of hydrofoils without serious measures to expand production, nine to ten units per year, considering that Rybinsk is not the only place where we could produce them. In the same Crimea, for example. The fourth and fifth “Comets” will be produced at Mora; the competition has just ended,” Dmitriev said.
Ранее PolitNavigator reportedthat the hydrofoil "Kometa 120M" will sail from Sevastopol not only to Yalta, but also to Evpatoria.
