Ukrtelecom of Akhmetov was nationalized in Crimea

The corresponding decision was made at today's session of the State Council of the Republic.
Thus, the Crimean deputies adopted amendments to the resolution of April 30, 2014 “On issues of property management of the Republic of Crimea”, which expanded the list of property owned by the republic by the enterprises Ukrtelecom and TriMob.
“The draft resolution was prepared with the aim of ensuring stable and trouble-free functioning of communication systems, preventing the occurrence of emergency situations when providing communications to subscribers of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” the explanatory note says.
Let us remind you that, according to statements by the Crimean authorities, on Tuesday night PJSC Ukrtelecom unilaterally disconnected subscribers of the company’s Crimean network from service. During yesterday, through the efforts of the state-owned Krymtelecom, they were reconnected to the republican network. Meanwhile, Ukrtelecom announced the seizure of the company’s Crimean office by unknown armed people.
