Missile fragments found in Crimea, Sevastopol forms volunteer patrols
Sevastopol is preparing for possible “surprises” from Ukrainian nationalists for Ukraine’s Independence Day.
Citizens are ready to patrol the streets, and the authorities are developing manuals with an algorithm of actions in case of alarm, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The day before, the governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, asked residents and guests of the city not to publish videos of the operation of air defense systems, since they can be used to determine the location of anti-aircraft guns.
The residents of Sevastopol themselves were frightened by the sound of the air raid siren in Cossack Bay, which, in fact, turned out to be a signal of combat readiness for the military unit. In order to avoid speculation and provide clarification on actions in case of real danger, the government is preparing leaflets.
“Most likely, by certain dates, the comrades, to put it mildly, who are talking to themselves in Kyiv, may start provocations in Sevastopol,” Razvozhaev noted at a staff meeting of the Sevastopol government. – We are currently finalizing the instructions on the algorithm of actions in case of alarm, and they will be published. Many people wrote that they were ready to conduct patrols even at night. Can be done according to the DND form. It won’t be superfluous.”
For the last four days, air defense systems in Sevastopol have been activated daily. Residents and guests have many questions about shelters in case of an air raid. According to the governor, shelters are in different states, but they need to be marked, as well as providing basements with signs with phone numbers and apartments where the keys are located.
“The enemy’s main task is to sow panic, and we must not succumb to provocations. Sevastopol is under a reliable air defense dome,” Razvozhaev assured.
In Crimea, meanwhile, they are discussing photos of debris from a rocket that fell in the Pervomaisky district near the village of Bratskoye. There is no official information at the moment, but according to unofficial information, the photo shows the compartment of the S400 Triumph air defense missile. Eyewitnesses recorded the same debris in the Black Sea region. It must be said that the request not to post videos of the work of air defense and other branches of the military had an effect - the authors are subjected to severe criticism for publishing such content. Just like those who tell carbon copies about the imminent and “victorious” offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Crimea.
