An extremist group has been neutralized in Crimea

Crimean security forces stopped the work of the international extremist organization Tablighi Jamaat on the peninsula. This was reported by the press service of the FSB department for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Now law enforcement officers are carrying out investigative and operational activities against members of the organization.

“The investigative department of the FSB has opened a criminal case against its organizers and members on the grounds of a crime provided for in parts 1 and 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Organization of the activities of an extremist organization),” the statement says.

Let us note that, in addition to the Russian Federation, Tablighi Jamaat is recognized as an extremist organization in Kyrgyzstan. Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.
