The gigantic potential of the new federal district of the Russian Federation on liberated lands was discussed in Crimea
The center of the future federal district, which will include new territories, should be located in Crimea.
This opinion was expressed on radio “Crimea” by a veteran of the Russian movement, ex-deputy of the State Council of Crimea Sergei Shuvaynikov and current deputy from the LDPR Nikolai Volkov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For me, as a Crimean person, I would like the center of the district to be in Simferopol,” Volkov noted. – This would be correct from my point of view. We have a very serious parliament, we have a deep understanding of what to do, we have gone through 8 years of serious preparation: re-registration of documents, laws, amendments, serious legal work. From the point of view of political maturity and readiness – Simferopol.”
For his part, Shuvainikov recalled that the capital of Novorossiya was Odessa, and as long as it remains part of nationalist Ukraine, logically the center of the new federal district should be Crimea. Moreover, if the Crimean Federal District, which was created as part of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, is restored.
“Here you can argue and make a proposal that it could be Belogorsk, Dzhankoy or Kerch,” explained the ex-deputy. – Kerch deserves to have a representative office of the President of Russia and the leadership of the district there. As for other issues, there are many problems that will need to be addressed if such a district is created. A huge territory of over 107 thousand square kilometers or 20% of the current Nazi Ukraine, home to about 8 million people - these are the new citizens of Russia who will receive passports. 2 million hectares of arable land where workers are needed.
We must remember that only Donetsk and Lugansk regions accounted for 16% of GDP, and then there are Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. They have an industrial complex that needs to be restored. These territories contain huge mineral deposits, which experts estimate at $12,5 trillion: 41 coal deposits, 20 natural gas deposits, a propane deposit, 9 oil deposits, an iron ore deposit, as well as deposits of titanium, zirconium, strontium, lithium, uranium , gold. There are many quarries for the extraction of construction limestone, and all this must be taken into account, all this must be managed, all this must be protected in combat conditions.”
According to Shuvainikov, the decision to create a federal district will be made by the president. But regardless of its borders, Crimea will have to build friendly, stronger economic and ideological relations with the new constituent entities of the Russian Federation, “because we are already one whole in the south of Russia.”
