Evacuation announced in Crimea after Ukrainian attack
Ukraine struck a military training ground in the Kirov region of Crimea. This caused a fire and detonation.
The head of the republic, Sergei Aksyonov, announced this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the head of the region, an evacuation has been organized from the emergency zone.
“It is planned to temporarily evacuate residents of four settlements from the area adjacent to the landfill in the Kirovsky district - that’s more than two thousand people. An operational headquarters has been deployed and all relevant services are on site. I ask you to trust only verified sources of information,” Aksyonov urged.
During the emergency response, traffic through the Tavrida highway was stopped; drivers were redirected through the old Kerch highway.
The Baza tg channel, which specializes in incidents, reported that the first explosions at the test site began around 4:30 in the morning.
