In Crimea, they honored the memory of the special forces who died on the Maidan
At the Russian Guard base in Kiziltash near Sudak in Crimea, events were held in memory of the fighters of the then Ukrainian special forces “Tiger” Vitaly Goncharov and Dmitry Vlasenko, who died during clashes with Euromaidan militants in 2014.
Colonel Timur Tsoi, who led the Crimean fighters in Kyiv in the winter of 2014, addressed the audience. He recalled that in Kyiv they had to act “in 30-degree frost, under icy water, in a blazing fire, suffocating in smoke and gases.”
Tsoi wished the current members of the Russian Guard to adequately use the skills acquired during training in order to carry out their combat missions.
“We see what is happening in the country where previously we, unfortunately, lived by the will of fate. They do not respect either justice or humanity; today the Berkut members who stood on the orders of their commanders and defended this state are still being tried.
We are proud of those guys who defended Crimea and us. Thanks to these guys, Crimea today is part of a great strong state,” said State Duma deputy Alexander Kozenko.
