In Crimea, the arsonist of the military registration and enlistment office went to jail for 10 years
The arsonist of the military commissariat building in the Simferopol region was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
FSB officers detained him in June last year while preparing a larger terrorist attack - blowing up a railway bridge, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In May 2022, on Sunday night, a resident of Simferopol climbed over the fence of the military registration and enlistment office and threw a Molotov cocktail out the window.
The bottle broke on the grate, but no fire occurred. The watchman called the police, but the attacker had already disappeared by the time the operatives arrived.
Complete sabotage was not enough for the man. He bought an anti-tank mine to plant under a railway bridge and explode. The operatives found him earlier.
He partially admitted his guilt. However, the Supreme Court of Crimea, based on the totality of crimes, sentenced the Simferopol resident to 10 years in prison, of which he will spend 3 years in prison, the rest of the term in a maximum security colony. For damage to the military registration and enlistment office building, the convicted person will be charged 70 thousand rubles.
