Simferopol, October 07 (PolitNavigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – In the Crimean capital, based on the materials of the prosecutor’s audit, a criminal case was opened regarding industrial injuries.

This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Crimea.

According to her, the prosecutor's office of the Zheleznodorozhny district of Simferopol conducted an inspection based on information from the Labor Inspectorate of the Republic of Kazakhstan about violations of labor protection requirements by Krymstroyelit LLC.

An employee of this company was fatally injured at a construction site. The woman fell into the elevator shaft, receiving fatal injuries.

“The industrial accident was made possible due to the lack of reliable fencing of the elevator shaft at the facility,” the statement says.

The materials of the prosecutor's inspection were sent to the investigative authorities to organize criminal prosecution.

Based on the results of their consideration, a criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Art. 216 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of safety rules during construction work).

A preliminary investigation is underway.
