An ISIS member received a prison term in Crimea
The North Caucasus District Military Court sentenced Crimean resident Ivan Trifonov, who called for jihad and campaigned for the Islamic State terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation, to six years.

Trifonov was convicted on three counts: Part 2 of Art. 205.2, part 1 art. 222.1, part 1 art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. In addition to imprisonment, he was also prohibited from administering websites and imposed a fine of 10 rubles.
“It was established that in the period from August 13, 2017 to April 2, 2018, in the territory of the Republic of Crimea, the defendant, using the Internet, posted text messages in publicly accessible groups created and administered by him, aimed at encouraging participation in jihad, to participate in the activities of the international terrorist organization "Islamic State", to commit violent, including terrorist actions, as well as recognition and approval of the ideology of the Islamic State.
In addition, until June 6, 2018, he illegally stored an improvised explosive device and ammunition at his place of residence,” the report says.
