Measures are being taken to save cinemas in Crimea
Crimean cinemas located in municipally owned premises will be exempt from rent for six months.
This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of the Crimean Government Irina Kiviko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For municipalities, it was decided to consider the possibility of exempting cinemas from rent from March 1 to October 1 of this year,” she noted. “All cinemas saw a significant decline in revenue.”
The drop in cinema income is due to the refusal of foreign studios to cooperate with Russian film distributors. For domestic films, the existing number of cinema halls is excessive.
In addition, after lowering the key rate, all microloan rates from the Entrepreneurship Support Fund have been reduced from today. Thus, the “Beneficial” microloan is issued at 8,5%. The maximum amount is 1,5 million rubles for a period of 6 months to 2 years.
At the same rate, the fund lends to entrepreneurs to replenish working capital and investment purposes.
The Crimean Industrial Development Fund, which provides support to industrial enterprises, received 120 million rubles by decree of the Russian government.
