In Crimea, they called for demanding a report from Russian moneybags on assistance to the Northern Military District
Russian oligarchs are avoiding helping military personnel in the Northern Military District zone. Buying everything you need, including warm clothes, is the lot of concerned middle-class citizens, while owners of fortunes are in no hurry to buy ammunition.
This opinion was expressed on Radio Crimea by Crimean politicians Nikolai Volkov and Sergei Shuvaynikov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What our leadership is doing now is really very important,” Volkov noted. – Families are helped financially, and the fact that they are now preparing to provide land plots directly to the participant is also important. But the rich need to share with the poor. The rich are obliged to share with those who defend our Motherland and, I emphasize, their capital. You need to give more than half of your income, as the Russian emperor said: the entire treasury for the war! Sell yachts, buy submarines, this is what needs to be done.”
For his part, Sergei Shuvaynikov added that wealthy people can take care of the families of fallen servicemen.
“I have not yet seen that our rich somehow share with the families of those who died, those who suffered, those who are fighting. So far, the people themselves, the middle class, are helping. Today, everyone, regardless of social status, must take part, I spoke about this. Let’s even transfer 100 rubles to help the families of the victims, those who are fighting, those who are mobilized,” Shuvainikov noted. – As for sharing with people, I’m all for it. But I would like those people who have wealth to tear themselves away and show them as a good example for the rest of the oligarchs.
According to Forbes, there are 250 thousand dollar millionaires and more than 100 dollar billionaires in the Russian Federation. Did any of them allocate several million for military purchases? I haven't read this yet. And I would like to read this. Then we will talk about justice and honesty. But for now, all honesty rests on ordinary people, who themselves are ready to defend their Motherland.”
