A Hizb ut-Tahrir supporter's home was searched in Crimea
Supporters of the Mejlis, banned in the Russian Federation, report on social networks about a search of Bakhchisarai resident Osman Belyalov.
Belyalov’s brother Memet is under arrest as a member of the extremist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir.”
In 2016, the court fined Osman Belyalov 10 thousand rubles for taking part in an action in support of Hizb ut-Tahrir.
According to Crimean Solidarity activists, Osman Belyalov was not at home when the search began. He left Simferopol, but did not reach his destination. Activists report that there is no contact with him at the moment.
During the search, Eldar Umerov and Selim Teyfukov, who were streaming from under Belyalov’s house, were also detained. Both were taken to the police station, and both were fingerprinted.
