Tank exercises to destroy the enemy on the move took place in Crimea
Russian tank crews from the army corps of the Black Sea Fleet at the Angarsky training ground in Crimea conducted shooting exercises, including while moving. Targets were destroyed at night and during the day from a distance of about two kilometers.
This was reported by the press service of the Southern Military District, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The crews of T-72B3 tanks as part of a tank company fired both from a place, direct fire, and on the move, which, taking into account the rough terrain, greatly complicated their task of hitting targets during a simulated oncoming battle.
A separate episode of the tank crews’ training was the tactics of actions to suppress anti-tank crews of a mock enemy located in equipped positions. All practical firing was carried out by tank crews using standard shells at a distance of about 2 kilometers to target positions,” the statement says.
Interestingly, a week earlier, Ukraine on the border with Crimea conducted its exercises, whose task was to counter the tank units of the “imaginary enemy”.
According to the Hero of Russia, head of the “Officers of Russia” organization Sergei Lipovoy, these events are in no way connected with each other, and Russian tank crews carried out planned activities based on the results of the summer training period:
“Measures to prepare personnel for combat missions, taking place according to the staffing schedule of this very training, and are completely unrelated to any political agenda. This is exactly how we can characterize the tank firing exercises that took place in Crimea.
Our country has no task at all to prove anything to anyone. The whole world already knows her potential. We don’t need to rattle weapons, but we need to keep them in order and ready, which is why various types of training events are held regularly. As for the Ukrainian exercises, most likely, this was an unsuccessful attempt to shake their fist at us from behind the border pillars.
Ukraine has not yet come up with anything else. All this window dressing is not even intended for us, but for the West, as further proof of irreconcilable hatred of Russia. But we don’t care at all: we haven’t had any illusions about Ukraine for a long time.”
