A scandal erupts in Crimea over the resignation of the Minister of Resorts
Minister of Resorts and Tourism of Crimea Elena Yurchenko resigned. Speaker of Parliament Vladimir Konstantinov stated this at a meeting of the Presidium of the State Council.
The dismissal of a minister at the beginning of the holiday season is a sign of internecine struggle, former chairman of the Crimean parliament Leonid Grach said in a commentary to PolitNavigator.

According to him, the portfolios of Crimean ministers were divided between Konstantinov and the head of the Republic Sergei Aksenov, and Yurchenko “did not fit in.”
“This is a continuation of the struggle between Aksenov and Konstantinov, since they divided all personnel quotas among themselves, and Yurchenko clearly did not fit in. She, as they say, is still from Dzharty’s crops,” said Grach.
As expected, the decision to dismiss Yurchenko will be made at an extraordinary meeting of the State Council on June 5. However, Speaker Konstantinov has not yet named a candidate for the post of new minister: “Right now this issue is still being discussed.”
It is interesting that in a commentary to Crimea Media, Yurchenko herself stated that she did not write a letter of resignation.
According to insider information from PolitNavigator, at the beginning of the year the state TV channel First Crimean was given an unspoken command not to broadcast the head of the Ministry of Resorts on its airwaves.
