A struggle has unfolded in Crimea for the right to transport citizens to the Ukrainian border
In Crimea, competition has developed between carriers on routes towards the border with Ukraine. Carriers approved by republican authorities and federal structures compete.
The head of the government of the republic, Sergei Aksenov, announced this today at a press conference in Simferopol, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Carriers approached me as part of our negotiations. Those working on lines towards the border face competition from so-called international flights, which are authorized at the federal level. They do not coordinate these flights with us, they set the schedule arbitrarily. At the same time, all passengers are collected along the route,” Aksenov said.
At the same time, he emphasized that we are talking only about legal carriers.
“As for illegal immigrants, this is the job of law enforcement agencies. This is their function. Illegal immigrants account for up to 40% of the total number of shipments,” Aksenov said.
