The Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the Main Investigations Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Kazakhstan initiated a criminal case against an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs suspected of receiving a large bribe.

According to the investigation, on the afternoon of April 14, the suspect received a bribe from a citizen in the amount of 260 thousand rubles for the illegal return of items and documents to him, as well as for resolving the issue of returning weapons seized during an inspection of his household.
Currently, the suspect is detained in accordance with Article 91 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation. All the circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
As PolitNavigator reported, the day before, while receiving a bribe of about 300 thousand rubles from a resident of one of the districts of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Simferopol, the deputy head of the Center for Combating Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was detained. Earlier, anti-terrorism exercises of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation “Zaslon-2015” were held in Crimea.
